Our Industry

The Building Services industry is flooded with companies and individuals who are willing to provide services to your facility; whether your needs are for janitorial contracting, specialized cleanings, landscaping, security, facility management, or the full gamut, there is a company willing to contract with you.   This is good in one respect, which is that you have a multitude of options to ensure that you find the right fit. However, in another respect more options may make for a more challenging decision.

With more choices comes more opportunity – more opportunity for error/disappointment and possibly even failure.  Just as with any other service industry, there are a variety of factors that you should consider when deciding on a Building Services Contractor (BSC).

Our goal is to educate you and assist in your difficult decision that lies ahead. The following will briefly describe common practices in our industry; some of these practices we agree with and others we see as red flags.   Following this description, we will outline how Greene Solutions Group is different.

Common Practices in the Industry

When estimating pricing for services, it’s common practice for BSCs to forgo a building walk-through if it is not required by the customer.  This type of quoting will result in 1 of 2 ways:

  1. The BSC will under estimate, resulting in subpar services and/or the inability to complete the job at the contracted price.  This is the most common result in the industry.
  2. The BSC will over estimate.  Without a site visit, the bid process will not be truly competitive and the customer will over pay for this mistake.

The Greene Difference

We recognize that no two buildings are the same, therefore we will treat each customer and their perspective building(s) uniquely.
